That is the challenge of \Vilmette re : idcnts as sounded by the committee :; in charge of the conimunitv Fourth of July celebration in \Vilmette. The event:; thi s year wil.l again he held under the direction o£ \Vilmette Post, No. 46, of the American Legion. The Fourth of July program will be carried through on Monday, July 5, and the tentative program announced this week by the committee promises a day replete with activity that will intere st young and old. Tn the morning at 10 o'clock the \Vilmctte Athletic association baseball team will inaugurate the day's events with a game in which the \Vinnetka basehall team will provide the opposition. Thi s event is almost traditional and an 0c ca-..ion of keen civic rivalry. Patriotic Program. The afternoon events will hcgiq with a brief patriotic program at the Villag-e \.reen, followed immediate~\- bv athletic events and contest s for. ail ages. with suitable and useful prizes offered the winners in the various events. The merchants of the village ha-,e again promi sed to furnish manv of the p:izes, just as they have done. in prenou s years. For the children there is promised a real magician's act and a Punch and Judy show. The following advisory committee has' been appointed by Dr. \V. W. The date originally announced for the inauguration of the school's sessions was June 21. Several new features have been added to the program of the school, it \Yas announced this week. All the children of the primary and junior age in the Sundav school will he admitted to the classes. A unique system of · Bible instruction is promised and special attention will be given to music. Recreational periods will be held in the gymnasium and bO\~.:ling alley. Beginning Monday, June 28 .. at 9 o'clock, the school will continue from 9 to 12 o'clock each week day, except Saturday. Ambrose Wyrick, well known Chicago tenor, is to appear in concert in Wilmette Friday evening, June 25, a,t the \Vilmette Parish Methodi5t church. He comes to the village through the courtesy of a group of interested citizens. The concert will be 'given at 8:15 o'clock.
