To interpret these works Dean Peter C. Lutkin, the director, will offer the great festival chorus of 600 voices, the A Cappella choir, the Chicagu Symphony orchestra and the following soloists: Marie Sundelius, soprano; Alma Peterson, soprano; Marie Morrisey contralto; Vern on \Villiams. teno;, and Mark Love, bass. As in former seasons the concerts will be given in Northwestern university gy mnasium, Evanston. Ossip Gabrilowitsch \\'ill be the soloi~t at the second concert, Tuesday, May 25, the program of " ·hich will he devoted to the music of Tschaikowsky. There will be no concert the following e~ening, but on Thursday May 27, Giovanni Martinelli, tenor of the ).fetro politan Opera company, will he solo artist. Additional intere st will be given to the concert in the fact that is again orchestral director of the festhere will be two guest conduct~rs-Henry Hadley and Eric DeLamarter, who will direct compositions of their own. Skipping anotner evening - the "empty" dates are devoted to rehearsals-the fourth program will be given Saturday afternoon, May 29, when the children's chorus will be the ~table feature of the concert, at whiC1l Sylvia Lent, a charming young violinist, will appear as soloist. The fifth concert, Monday, May 31, will be ~i~en o~er to Brahms' German Requtem, wtth Mabel Garrison and Boris Saslawsky as soloists, and to orchestral selections directed by Frederick Stock.
