M. C. A. Chicago and will celebrate with a gala week. Many north shore people are members of this morning calisthenic class. KYW was the first station in the world to put on these health exercises broadcasts as a daily feature. Over 50 000 different people have written in fo~ a copy of the exercise charts, according to P. A. Leonhardt, director of physical education at Central "Y" . who originated the plan. This is said to be the largest gymnasium class in the world and yet there is room for as many more as wish to join it and perfect privacy is assured for all. Physical directors of the Young Men's Christian association, with the ccoperation of local radio station~, hav ·~ established similar radio morning exercises based on the Chicago example, in Detroit. Mich ., Newark, N. ]., Dallas, Texas, San Francisco, and Mexico Evanston Junior League Ball Will Attract Society The annual ball of the 1unior League of Evanston will be held at the Evanston Country club the evening of Tuesday, January 26. Dancing will be gin at 9 o'clock, Spike Hamilton of the Opera club furnishing the music. Entertainment will be given by the league members at 11 o'clock, and refreshments will be served later. The proceeds from the sale of tickets will go to the various Evanston charities which the members of the league help to support by individual work throughout the year. These charities are, the Occupational Therapy department, the Library, and the Afternoon Clinics of the Evanston hospital; six Infant Welfare stations; the United Charities of Evanston; and the Day Nursery.
