Mrs. Fridea A. Steffens, 59, of 2417 Pomona Ln., Wilmette, died July 2 in St. Francis Hospital. Mrs. Steffens had lived in the village 35 years. She is survived by her husband, Leon; two daughters, Jayne Ann and Mrs. Gail Engeldahl; and her mother, Mrs. Anna J. Alexander; two sisters, Mrs. Dolly Eubank and Mrs. Faye Schalk; two brothers, Albert and Walter Alexander; and one grandchild. Requiem mass was held July 6 in St. Joseph's Church. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
