By winning the. basket ball championship and second place in baseball, Room A of the Wilmette Grammar School Eighth grade gained possession of the Beamer trophy for the current year. Room A of the Seventh grade took second in basket ball and first in baseball for a total of 20 points. This made them the runners up, since the eighth graders had won with 24 points. Room D of the Eighth grade took third place with 8 points. As a result of having won the trophy, the victorious room will stage a ceremonial before the end of the school year and will transfer the trophy to the room where it will remain until next year. The boys who made up the team that won the basket ball championship, and thus the trophy, were: George Pattison.
