Thus might be described the talk given before the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce Monday evening of this week by Jamie Heron . internationally known author, humorist and lecturer, whose chief pleasure iu li f£> is giving "pep" talks to business men . The gathering was in the nature of a rally dinner held in celebration of the recent successful t£>nnination of a whirlwind mcmber~hip campaign which brought more than 50 new names to the organization roll. Heron's subject was, "Building Better Business by Building Better Men." It was an enthusiastic, applause provoking lecture that served to accentuate the spirit of the occasion. Humor, pathos, poetry, stories and anecdotes illustrating pronouncements of sound, common sense business principles, combined to make Jamie Heron's talk one of the most impressive addresses ever heard in a gathering of local business and professional men. Monday's meeting marked the occasion for the change of the name of the local commercial body from New Trier Commercial association to the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce. Organization in recent months of Winnetka and Glencoe Chambers of Commcrcl.', promptl'd the \Vilmette business and l?rof~·ssional men to decide upou a localizatiOn of the Commercial association.
