Ray A. May, 69, a resident of the North Shore for almost 65 years, died Monday in Sebring, Fla., where he and his wife, Marie, had been living since retirement. Born and raised in Wilmette, Mr. May operated a painting and decorating business in Highland Park for many years before moving to Florida. In addition to his wife, Mr. May is survived by three sons, Ray J., Donald D., and Earl S.; and one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Monica) Gugstein. Services and burial are scheduled for Saturday in Sebring. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the Elk's Fund, Sebring Lodge, Sebring, Fla.
