The station was originally located north of Wilmette Ave. on the west side of the tracks. This photograph was reproduced in "Frontiers of old Wilmette," by Herbert B. Mulford, p.44. Caption: "This station gave way for the present station and was moved north of Central Avenue to become the present freight-house."
