- Florence Sherman Hattis died September 22nd at her home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She had celebrated her 103rd birthday two weeks before her death. Florence is survived by three daughters, Roberta Rubin of Glencoe, IL; Phyllis Hattis of New York, NY, and Bonnie Avery of Louisville, KY. She is survived by two sons, George Hattis of Corralitos, CA, and Bill Hattis of Albuquerque, NM. Mrs. Hattis is survived by twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Hattis. Burial at Westlawn Cemetery, 4900 W. Montrose Avenue, Chicago. The full obituary is available at Wilmette Public Library.
