- For the first time in its history, the Chicago North Shore Festival Association, held in the Northwestern University gym, was a financial success. Carl D. Kinsey, manager of the association, said the net proceeds were $2,000. The success is attributed to the work of Dean Poter Christian Lutkin of the Northwestern School of Music. The festival also had record breaking crowds.
