- New Trier crews won medals in 14 events at the Greater Chicago Junior Rowing Championship. Comments by coach Rose Marchuk. Three Loyola Academy boats placed second at the Midwest Scholastic Championship in Cincinnati last week. Five juniors were honored for academic excellence and championship rowing: Egan Berne, Sam Durkin, John Hocter, Bobby Murphy, Conor Walsh. Six seniors will row in college: Ian Buchanan, Austin Johnson, Emma Knorps of Wilmette, Patrick Muto, Nora Shepard, and John Sullivan.
