- Sixteen years ago the Visiting Nurse Association of Evanston was established with Miss Faltz the first nurse chosen. Mrs. C. H. Chandler was appointed president, and Mrs. P. C. Lutkin, treasurer and secretary. Today Miss Harriet Ely is the visitng nurse, and Mrs. P. C. Lutkin is chairman and treasurer with Mrs. W. C. Fabian, secretary. Thursday, a play called "Thursday", written by Mrs. Guy S. MaCabe will be performed at the Woman's club house. The proceeds will go to the Visiting Nurse Association. The following statistics were gathered for 1912. During this time there were 403 new patients, 599 patients were visited, and 2631 calls were made. There were 76 births and 8 deaths. The Visiting Nurse Association tend to the poor for no charge or a small donation.
