- All North Shore golf courses were officially opened last Sat. The clubs were: Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest, the Exmoor Club in Highland Park, the Skokie Club in Glencoe, the North Shore Club in Wilmette and the Evanston Golf Club. New members at Onwentsia Club include: General and Mrs. Martin D. Hardin, Mr. and Mrs. Hamline Scott, Miss Marion Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Poole, Mrs. William H. Hubbard, Miss Eleanor Hubbard, Mrs. John Henry Hamline, Mr. and Mrs. James McCluney, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan K. Bolton, and Mr. and Mrs. J. Allen Haines. Although there were no scheduled matches at the clubs, considerable golf was played.
