Boy Scout troops in Evanston are becoming very active. L. C. Penfield hosted a meeting of Troop No. 1 at his home. Robert Dart, passed his tenderfoot examination at this meeting. The troup went on some excursions. Troop no. 2 hiked in Chicago. The members on the trip were: Henry Clauson, Donald Eastman, Roland Hagen, Wesley Halst, William Meyer, George Meyer, Walter Stadtier, Scoutmasters H. A. Clauson and Benjamin Pope. 9-year-old Scout Henry Clauson was the youngest in the Chicago district to participate. Troup no. 3 met Fri. at the home of Herman Alschuler. The Eagle Patrol elected Lewis Clarg, manager and LaVerne Eberhardt, captain of their baseball team. Ivan Burton, the drill sergeant, is offering a watch to the scout who makes the most points in drill before Decoration day, Sat. afternoon. Troop no. 7 will have a meeting at the home of Scoutmaster Edmunds next week.
