The directors of Evanston public library have appointed a legislative committee consisting of Wirt E. Humphrey, C. P. Coffin and C. M. Cartwright, to co-operate with other bodies in an effort to get the Juul law modified so that public libraries will secure the appropriations from the tax fund that they have prior to this year. It is understood that there will be a general movement among the libraries of Illinois to get the remedial legislation.
