- The Evanston City Council meeting included a request from Mayor Paden to the officials of the County Traction Company to submit an ordinance before the April 1st election. Attorney John Hugh Lally, representing the citizens who are petitioning for a city court, wrote to the council urging them to also make a favorable decision before the election. The meeting concluded with a discussion of the special election results to incorporate the village of Clayton which was defeated by a vote of 45 to 8.
