- Winnetka village council held a meeting Tuesday night. Present were President Stevenson, Trustees Morse, Whitman, Goble, Cary and Rummler. Absent Trustee Walling. E. P. Maynard wrote to the board requesting removal of an old drain pipe in Gage street. I.C. Wood wrote requesting better drainage on Central ave., near Pine St. Owners of the old Hetty Green property asked to connect to he village water and light systems. Mr. Burling of Hubbard Woods requested a narrower sidewalk on Walden street to save trees. The committee had an argument over what kind of pavement should be used on Lincoln avenue. M. K. Meyer administered the oath of office to newly elected officers. The home of N. E. Daily, the village electrician, is under quarantine for scarlet fever. He wanted permission to go home to take care of the furnace since his wife and the maid were busy with the children.
