- The Evanston Northwest Park District Board is taking a postal card referendum vote on the proposition to purchase a block of the woods in the northwestern section of the city, bounded by Colfax and Grant street and Bennett and Ewing avenues for $20,000. Park commissioners D. H. Perkins, M. D. Howell, John Anderson, Frank Aronson and Wheeler Bartram have approved the project.
