- Ballot for the choice of a site for a Carnegie Library of Wilmette. One site had been donated by Mr. Alexander J. Howell. Others in the village favored moving the Village Hall and erecting the library in that location near the train station. Another proposal was to purchase a completely different site costing between $5,000 to $8,000.
