Wilmette, Illinois

March 30th, 1895

Mr. And Mrs. L. J. Pierson

Dear Friends:

The Directors of the Elmwood Library Assoc[iation], in looking over the records, find the names

of a number of members who have not been interested in the Library during the last few years.

New books are being added to the Library constantly and an earnest endeavor is being made to

interest all subscribers. There have been no dues received from you since July 1893. Will you

kindly notify the Sec[retar]y whether you wish your name dropped from the list of members or

whether you desire to retain your membership.

Yours Resp[e]ct[fully]

N. W. Gates, Sec[retar]y By order of the Directors

We feel that the Library ought to be supported by general taxation, and not by personal effort and

so you may drop our names and oblige

Yours

Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Pierson
