Mr. A. J. Howell,
49 West 89th St., New York City.
My dear Mr. Howell:
Your letter, addressed to Mr. Andrew Carnegie, under date of April 9th, has been sent to me. We appreciate highly your kindness in offering to donate a library site, and will be much obliged if you will advise us how much land you are willing to dedicate for library purposes.
The property will, of course, be in the name of the Village of Wilmette and not Andrew Carnegie.
Upon receipt of further information from you, giving the frontage and exact location of the property you are willing to give us, I will bring the matter before the library board.
Very truly yours,
FHD [F. H. Drury]
