- Photograph Peggy Bassrawi and Avi of Wilmette. The Cancer Wellness Center, Northbrook, held its Annual Benefit on Saturday, Oct. 15, in the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Chicago Hotel. Over $200,000 was raised to help those affected by cancer.
Committee members included Marla Neuman of Buffalo Grove; Merle Cahan, Lynn Chestler, Julie Crandall and Mimi Horwitz, all of Glencoe; Vicki Adams, Diane Levitt, Rhonda Salins, Judy Stone, Barbara Wolkoff, Laurie Young, and Martha Young, all of Highland Park; Lynne Adams, Rivie Andrews, Bobbe Blacher and Leslie Berkowitz, all of Northbrook; Sandi Berkowitz of Vernon Hills and Susan Barr of Winnetka. Benefit sponsors included an Anonymous donor, Lynn and Joel Chestler, the Malkin Family, The Cahan Family and Kellogg Cancer Center of NorthShore University HealthSystem.
