O'Connor, Alan P. Alan P. O'Connor, 68, formerly of Wilmette and Lake Zurich, Illinois, passed away September 7 in Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by Shari, his wife of 45 years, his four children, Debbie Schwinden, Mark O'Connor, Patty (Dean) Lauritzen, Katie (Nick) Zanoni, and six grandchildren. Alan was the son of Richard and Agnes O'Connor and was the fourth of their eight children: Rosemary (Philip) White, Kevin(d) (Lilia), Philip (Margot), James (Lynda), Louise (Bob) Leetch, Jean, and Steve (Karen). He attended Loyola Academy and Loyola University. Alan began his distinguished career in human resources in Chicago and moved with his family to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1975 where he filled the various roles of corporate officer, company president, business owner and business developer. He was nationally recognized for his achievements in the field of outplacement and career coaching, and continued to help people find employment during his brief retirement.
