Several students from New Trier High School, Loyola Academy and Regina Dominican High School have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists this week by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Approximately 16,000 Semifinalists from throughout the country were named Wednesday. The seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 8,300 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $34 million that will be offered next spring.
