- The Winnetka Village Council met Wed. last week. President Stevenson presided. Six trustees, Messrs. Goble, Carey, Morse, Whitman and Walling were present; Mr. Rummler was absent. The council considered a proposal of a subdivision presented by Mr. Goble for E. P. Maynard & Co. There was a motion to approve the sanction. This was made by Trustee Morse and it was passed. A new ordinance regarding sidewalks in southeasten Winnetka was passed. To deal with uncollected assesssments, a suggestion was made to use interest on village deposits. A committee is considering the situation. Also at the meeting, bids for a boiler at $3,000 and a stoker at $850 were accepted upon the recommendation of the water and light committee.
