Garfield, Lynn Hansen Born August 24, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois, died Wednesday, August 17 of pneumonia. An artist who captured children's characters in pastels and watercolors, Lynn also recognized the spirits of animals and saved many during her lifetime. Her flair for design, fashion and color were evident in her creative endeavors including Nina Needlepoint on East Delaware in Chicago and Merryvale in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. While living in Templeton, California, she served as a hospice volunteer drawing from her experience as a social worker in San Francisco. Family and friends will miss her dearly.
