Baker Demonstration School has announced student achievement on the 2011 National Latin Exam.

On the Introduction to Latin Exam, Noah Roth, Michael Werner, Cooper Ochsenhirt, Matthew Fabbioli, and Jack Cudecki received Achievement Awards, and Shanti Polara, Rena Newman, Charlie Rose, Leah Cooke, and Matteo DiBernardo received Outstanding Achievement Awards.

On the Latin I Exam, David Steinberg and Natalie Nedvetsky received Cum Laude Honors; Theodore Beck, Olivia Barton, Christopher McAuley, and Mary Beth Beckwith received Magda Cum Laude Honors; Noah Taborda, Caleb Broughton-DeLong, Valerie Kelley, John Baker, and Sam Olson received Silver Medal Maxima Cum Laude Honors; and Raef Sengupta and Ari Ben-Zeev received Gold Medal Summa Cum Laude Honors with scores of 36 or higher out of 40.

In addition, John Baker was recognized with MVP Honors for students competing at the Junior High Level in Certamen. Latin has long been a hallmark program of Baker Demonstration School and students consistently excel in the subject. Baker’s Certamen team finished second in the region for the season.
