Wallace, Betty J. (née Elbrecht) (Died)

Wallace, Betty J. (nee Elbrecht), a resident of Glenview for 50 years, lost her 14 year battle with breast cancer in her home June 18th six days before her 85th birthday. Born in St. Louis June 24 she became a resident of Glenview in 1961. During that time she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Park Ridge along with being President of the Woman's Glenview Park District Golf League, a volunteer at Lutheran General Hospital as well as participating in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leland Wallace, Jr. A loving mother, she is survived by her son Lee (Audrey) of Lexington, KY, son Jonathan (Deborah) Wallace of Chicago and Trego, MT.; daughter Chris (Gary) Leer of Seattle, WA; daughter Barb (Scott) Lothian of Glenview; Grandchildren Ryan (Chicago), Patrick (Chicago), Andrew (Glenview), Jeremy (Julie) and Todd (Jenny) of Lexington, KY; two great granddaughters, Isabel and Mackenzie; two great grandsons Lincoln and Clayton and her sister Barbara Elbrecht of Webster Groves, MO. Services will be private.
