Busscher, James C. Died June 24, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital after a six month illness. He was born at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston on July 9, 1935, lived in Hubbard Woods and Evanston. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a dedicated employee of Jewel Food Stores for forty-four years. James was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Evanston. Son of the late James and Catherine Busscher; step son of the late Helen Busscher; brother of Susan Busscher Daley and the late Sandra Paulson; brother in law of Larry Daley, Gary Paulson and Alden uncle of Mark, Eric and Ryan Paulson and Kevin and David Virenius; cousin of Stephanie, Bob and Ed Franke, Richard and "Sonny" Busscher; faithful friend of Joseph and Jennifer Byron. Visitation was held Tuesday, June 28, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral was Wednesday, June 29, 9:30 a.m. from Donnellan Family Funeral Home 10045 Skokie Blvd., at Old Orchard Road, Skokie to St. Athanasius Church, 1615 Lincoln Street, Evanston, Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery, Northbrook. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Misericordia, 6300 North Ridge Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60660.
