- Saturday afternoon, Evanston police arrested three men accused of selling liquor. The men arrested were Peter Steff, 678 Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, owner of the liquor store, Charles Bronston, 818 Washington St., and Jim Babaganos, 910 Chicago Ave. They plead guilty to Justice Boyer. The raid was conducted by Sergeant A. Johnson and officers Larkin and Paasch. A. H. Bowman of Lake Shore News encourages ridding Evanston of liquor sales.
