The Lindgren peace fund committee, established in 1911 by Mr. John K. Lindgren of Evanston, announced the peace prize for 1913. The prize is offered to winners of a literary contest open to the pupils of the high schools of the United States. The subject selected for the essays is "The Reasonableness of the Demand for International Peace." Conditions of the contest outlined.
