- Grace Wilbur Trout, president of the Illinois Equal Suffrage Association, spoke in Evanston on "Suffrage from American Women's Standpoint". Alice Campbell, president of the local suffrage organization, presided and introduced the speaker. Trout was emphatic in her criticism of discrimination against women. The hall where she spoke, which accommodated over 100 people, was filled beyond capacity. Catherine Waugh McCulloch was in the receiving line and many women from Northwestern attended.
