Harper’s third grade students have been busy studying the history of Illinois and the city of Chicago. As an extension of these lessons, students will take a daylong field trip designed to highlight the history and architecture of Chicago. The adventure begins when students board the Metra trains in Wilmette for Chicago. Upon their arrival at Ogilvy Station, a trolley bus will be waiting to shuttle them to the Chicago History Museum. After touring the museum’s many exhibits and having a bite to eat, students will head back to the trolleys for a fact-filled tour of Chicago. The field trip dates are Monday and Tuesday.
