Ayres, Ethel B. Ethel B. Ayres, 100, longtime resident of Northbrook, May 12, 2011. Beloved wife for 37 years of the late Robert J.H. Ayres; loving mother of Diane (Bruce) Uhl, Franklin (Marge) Ayres and Robert Ayres; cherished grandmother of Rebecca Uhl, Sarah (Thomas) Stoughton, Stephen Uhl, Susan (Philip) Jones and Marybeth Ayres; proud great grandmother of Zachary, Jennifer, Joshua, Nicholas, Ryan, Conner, Tristan, Aidan, Oliver and Annika. Mrs. Ayres was preceded in death by 3 brothers and one sister. Ethel was an avid reader and bridge player. Memorial service will be held Friday, May 20, 2011 at 1:30pm at the Village Presbyterian Church of Northbrook, 1300 Shermer Rd. (at Cherry) Northbrook. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Brandel Care Center, 2155 Pfingsten Rd., Northbrook, IL 60062, Midwest Palliative and Hopice CareCenter, 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL 60025 or charity of your choice.
