The Mustang Mingler will take place at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at the home of Carla Dawson.
The Family Fun Run will take place at 3:15 p.m. Saturday.
Romona teams won at the Scholastic Chess Tournament April 16. Romona took home first place team trophies in both the second-third and fourth-fifth divisions and debuted at fourth place in kindergardent-first. Fourth grade winners were Ethan Burfield, Brian Chung, Aviv Crystal, Justin Gorodetsky and Edward Lee.
Second and third grade winners were Lincoln Crowe, Maya Crystal, Michael Howie, John Morris Osburn, Richard Porwancher, Arnold Raguckas, Tommy Schindler, Justin Weinzweig and Alex Yasumoto.
Kindergarten and first grade winners were Robert Gosser, Joey Kearney, Allison Lee and Claire Zheng.
First grade students will visit the Adler Planetarium tomorrow.
Second grade students will visit the Peggy Notebeart Nature Museum in Chicago Wednesday.
Bike Safety Rodeo for second and fourth grade students will be held from 9 a.m.-noon May 6 at Romona.
Teacher Appreciation Week will be Monday-May 6. The school is looking for parents to drop off healthy snacks on Monday and Tuesday of the week.
