The McKenzie Gardens are Blooming! The Outdoor Classroom opened on April 25. The school need lots of volunteers for Mondays and Fridays. Gardening experience is not required. To sign up visit www.mckenziepta.com.

The Teacher Appreciation luncheon will take place May 6. To sign up to donate food, visit www.mckenziepta.com and look for the Teacher Appreciation luncheon link. For more information, call or e-mail Monica Thompson.

Registration for Chess Club first-fourth grade spring session has started. Parents should register early to reserve a spot for their children. For more information, visit the PTA website www.mckenziepta.com.

Highcrest Middle School will be using the convenient services of SchoolKidz, Inc. and their Teacher Tailored® back-to-school supply kit program for students in fourth grade. This program will save time and is competitively priced, and all proceeds support the Highcrest PTO. All kits will be delivered to the school and ready for children at the Meet and Greet in August. Order forms will be coming home soon and also available on the Highcrest Middle School website. Orders will be accepted tomorrow through Wednesday. For more information, contact Angi Meyers.

The PTA is planning next year's fantastic line-up of enrichment activities, service projects and fun events. Volunteers to co-chair several of the committees are still needed. For more information, contact PTA president-elect Jennifer Konz-Alt.
