- Student Council is collecting donations for Pennies for Peace until spring break. Funds will go towards building schools in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Kindergarten registration packets available. Yearbooks can be ordered from Margaret Bennett. "Going Green Matters" Sunday at the Woman's Club of Wilmette and a free recycling event at First Presbyterian Church, 600 9th St. Central School will be participating in the Nike Reuse A Shoe program during Earth Week April 18-22. Volunteers are needed for the library, recess times and the cafeteria during March. Drive for Five campaign has reached 71% of its goal. Tickets available for "Shen Yun," featuring music and dance of China. The showing will benefit District 39 schools.
