Tregay, Robert W. "Bill" (1925-2011), Bill Tregay passed away in February in Durham, NC. Bill was born and raised in Oak Park,and until last summer lived in Evanston. A World War II veteran (Navy),Bill worked in Chicago for the Dept. of Public Aid for over 35 years. A pioneer in the bike to work movement, he rode from his home in Evanston to downtown Chicago in all weather, including snowstorms. He also participated in many bike races, including Bike Across Missouri, Lon Haldeman's Double Trouble, and the Central Triple Century. Bill is survived by his wife Jeanine,son Robert and daughter Wendy; also by brothers James and David , and sister Ruth.
