- Gary Gand, Northfield music retailer, performed in his youth with his family in the Gand Family Singers. His friend, Paul Hamer, ran a music store, Northern Prairie Music, on Green Bay Road in Wilmette. Hamer is well known as a guitar builder. Interview with Gand lists musicians he has been associated with over his career.
