Evanston Girl Weds Former Kenilworth Man St. Matthew's church in Evanston was the scene of the wedding of Miss M a r y Louise L a r i m e r , daughter of M r s . Robert S. L a r i m e r of Evanston, and Robert Rockwell Snoddy, son of M r s . Ruth W. Snoddy of Evanston, formerly of Kenilworth. They were married at 4 o'clock, Saturday, September 6, with the Rev. John Heuss officiating. The bertha which adorned the cream brocade gown of the bride and the tiara which held her veil in place were made of duchesse and rose point lace used for three genc-ations of weddings H e r bouquet was of white chrysanthemums. She was given in marriage by her brother, Robert S. L a r i m e r , J r . Mrs. W i l l i a m O. Beers of Wilmette, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honor and Miss M a r y A l ice Massey of Oak P a r k was maid uf honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Patricia A d a m s of Atlanta, Ga., M r s . E d w a r d J . Hennessy, J r . of Chicago, Miss Joyce Fowler of Chicago, and Miss B a r b a r a Baldwin of Columbus, Ohio. After Ocotber 1, tl'.ey will be at home in Evanston, Review Will Begin Fall Season for Kentucky Society "On Indian Trails With Daniel Boone" will be the book reviewed by Mrs. Ray Garrett, p r o g r a m chairman, at the opening fall meeting of the Kentucky Society of Evanston and the North Shore September 19, at Barrington Hills Country club. The book describes the four-year trek of Daniel Boone and his family from North Carolina into Kentucky and will be the first in a series of programs on Kentucky history. Other books to be reviewed include "Kentucky Tobacco Patch," by V i r gil Steed, "Roseana M c C o y , " by A l berta H a n m a n , "We'll Sing One Song," by Olive Carruthers, and "Making the A m e r i c a n M i n d , " by R i c h a r d Mosier. Music for the September meeting will follow the Indian theme. M i r i a m Cousins of Evanston will sing a group ot selections. H e r accompanist, L o u ise Evans, will also play a group of piano numbers including "Indian L a ment" and " F r o m an Indian Lodge." Hostesses for this meeting will include M r s . Charles E . Karstrom, Mrs. B. Fraser Troxwell, M r s . James E . Ramey, M r s . James J . Mulligan, and M r s . Ernest S. Cleveland. Other plans announced by the group include a program devoted to the H i n d m a n Mountain school for which the group provides scholarships and clothing. Miss Elizabeth Watts, president of the school, has been invited to be guest speaker at that meeting. Mrs. W i l l i a m H . A v e r y will be hostess for the Christmas party to be held in December. The group will also sponsor a bazaar and card party December 10, at the Woman's club. Meet to Plan Benefit for Maternity Center Members of the finance committee of the North Shore auxiliary of Ihe Chicago Maternity center met in the Pump room in town September 4, for luncheon, at the request of M r s . Otto Strohmeier, chairman, to discuss plans for their annual luncheon bridge benefit party in December. The proceeds of the party will be turned over to the Chicago Maternity center for use in aiding and caring for hundreds of mothers-to-be at the dispensary on Maxwell street. At the same time the training received by post-graduate medical students is ct very particular value because all deliveries of babies are made in the mother's home in contrast to a sterile hospital and its conveniences at the doctor's finger tips. A l l post-natal care is given at the dispensary under famous obstetricians who give their time to help both mother and student. The members of the finance committee are, besides M r s . Ontario and one year after their marriage there, moved to Chicago. In 1922 they came to Wilmette to live. They had five children, three of whom are living, George N . of Livingston. N . J . . M r s . John M c F a d d e n of Buffalo, N . Y . , and Clarke F . of Wilmette. They have two grandsons, Robert D o r m a n of Galveston, Texas, and Clark Dorman of Winnetka: and two greatgranddaughters, Donna Mae and Linda Jean D o r m a n , who were the youngest guests at the supper party. Several of the guests from Chicago have been friends of M r . and M r s . M a i r for more than 40 years. Among those here for the event were their son-in-law, Robert H . Dorman, and Mrs. D o r m a n , from San Angelo, Texas. M r . and M r s . M a i r left the Sunday night following their anniversary for an extensive trip through Canada and the East.
