At a meeting of the property owners on Sherman avenue, held Monday in the Avenue House, the Sherman Avenue Improvement association was formed. Its main object will be to prevent the city from granting another franchise to the street car company to operate on that street. The permanent officers elected were: Wirt E. Humphrey, president; Prof. C. B. Atwell, treasurer, and Prof. M. C. Newell, secretary. The committees appointed are: Legal - W. R. Wiley, Prof. R. E. Wilson, M. C. Harper.
Committee to report regarding objectors - J. W. Work, Otis Larson, W. R. Wiley.
Membership - C. D. Warnock, J. M. Barnes, R. E. Wilson, R. E. Wiley, J. W. Beebe and E. C. Suhr.
