- Wilmette officials hope a pilot project could eventually lead to more manageable post-storm sewers in west Wilmette. The project would install surface water detention systems on two separate west Wilmete street segments, allowing officials to study how well such a system works for areas served by separated sewer systems. The board was scheduled to approve a contract with Strand Associates of Joliet. Comments by Engineering Director Bridge [sic] Mayerhofer.
