She was born August 22, 1928 in New York City, NY a daughter of the late Simeon B. Chapin, Jr. And Elsa B. Chapin. Survivors include her husband, Ridgely Cook of Myrtle Beach, SC, a daughter, Mary Carr of Oregon, three stepchildren, Ridgely Cook, Jr. Of Chapel Hill, NC, Sandra Cook of Bermuda and Buzby Cook of Eliot, ME, two sisters, Elsa Hackett of Plant City, FL and Marietta Covell of Palm Springs, CA and a granddaughter, Chapin Epps of Briarcliffe, SC.
