The Evanston City Council Tuesday night passed an ordinance calling for a special election Dec. 16, to vote on the filtration plant proposition. An ordinance was introduced to give the Sanitary District power to build intercepting sewers for the transfer of sewage from the lake to the canal. Voting will take place on another occasion. An ordinance was passed changing the names of three streets in the Germania subdivision so they will correspond to Chicago streets: Germania street to Sheridan terrace, Maple court to Perry street, Schurz court to Bosword avenue.
