- New Trier's girls varsity eight crew finished fifth in a field of 70 at Sunday's Head of the Charles Regatta. The boys varsity eight also had a strong showing coming in 12th place in a field of 76. Held in Cambridge, Mass., the event attracted some 9,000 rowers from around the world. Members of the team were Jenn Maley, Hemingway Benton, Caroline DeWeirdt,Merritt Denham, Meredith Fischer, Alex Swift, Jessica Streur, Melanie Eckert, Rachel Crosley. Comments by coach Rose Marchuk.
The boys team members were Chris Carothers, David Rodgers, Matt Sorensen, Kamin Vassilos, Will Rosenbloom, Andrew Thompson, Ricky Marquardt, Andrew Stone, Connor McLane. Comments by coach Nat Kelp-Lenane. - Date of Publication
