- Wilmette print artist Dennis O'Malley will join 19 other Illinois artists showing and selling their work at the Illinois Artisans' Holiday Art Spree Dec. 16-17 in the James R. Thompson Center, 100 W. Randolph St., CHicago. Suburban chapters of the Lyric Opera of Chicago are sponsoring a North Shore recital for American soprano Barbara Quintiliani at the Michigan Shores Club, 911 Michigan Ave., Wilmette, on Dec. 19. She is the grand prize winner of the Met Opera National Finals. Judd Parkin of Evanston published a book, "The Carpenter's Miracle." Evanston resident Kurt Westerberg released a new record of four compositiotns "Winter Light". Photograph of Westerberg.
