- Young pianists Colin Choi, of Northbrook, and Kirsten Takaki, of Wilmette, were chosen as two of 25 winners of the International Chopin Celebration at Carnegie Hall in New York on Nov. 13. The celebration was in recognition of Chopin's 200th birthday.
