- Mike Kerrigan of Wilmette's Kerrigan Plumbing, 811 Ridge Road, has been running CNG [compressed natural gas] vehicles for about nine years and has seven in his fleet. The vans and trucks release a fraction of the pollutants gasoline cars do, and Kerrigan is saving money on the fuel. The city of Evanston, however, has not had a successful experience with CNG vehicles.
