- Richard E. Wanland of Pompano Beach, Fla.,died Jan. 19 in Pompano Beach. He was 79.
Born May 4, 1927, in Chicago.
On Dec. 19, 1953, he married Gertrude M. Pauls of Tomahawk, Wis.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Jo, and a son, Edward II.
In addition to his wife, survivors include daughters Jackie (Pete) Veris of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Reggie (Dave) Timson of Lake Forest, Terry Wanland of Sarasota, Fla., Leslie (Todd) Olson of Northfield and Denise (Mark) Helms of Glenview; sons Richard Jr. (Meg) of Northbrook, Ted (Beth) of Long Grove and Edward III (Phyllis) of Grayslake; and 17 grandchildren.
