- Zoning Board of Appeals voted Sept. 20 to reject a special use permit and a height variance that would allow a proposed three-story, 50-unit affordable housing project at 1 Happ Road. THe developer, Kevin Koy, provided too little information for members of the zoning panel to judge his request. The Wilmete Plan Commission wants engineering plans to address problems of building in a floodway and a traffic study. Neighbor Jae Choi Kim expressed her concerns about flooding. Richard Schram supports the project as he has a disabled son, Ross, who might benefit from it.
